Today on Juneteenth, we honor the journey and the legacy of freedom and resilience. Highland Park and Detroit, our cities of service, stand as historic beacons of hope—where generations of the formerly enslaved and their descendants aspired to thrive in the heart of America’s middle class. At the Ruth Ellis Center, we continue this legacy by advocating for the health, housing, and well-being of black LGBTQ youth and their peers across the many spectrums we can all identify, ensuring that the promise of freedom extends to all. Lucky doesn't really cut it to describe the beautiful partnership with have with the @northernguard or @detroitcityfootballclub or @ally.
